retribution (#4)

This piece began with Pacha in the halls of Cuesta College, where her art class was studying different painting techniques. Pacha gave the canvas to her classmate Sarah Jorgenson, with a layer of sandy grout, and Sarah proceeded to cover it with a rich layer of pigmented beeswax, an ancient technique that is also known as encaustic painting. Carol finished it up with a few revitalizing brushes of oil.
