Does I exist? (#1)

The idea of the Holonic Art Movement became a reality in January 2006 when Pacha painted a foundation of sanded grout onto a 12” x 12” canvas, gessoed it, pasted a line from a magazine onto it, and handed it to Roger Lee, her typography teacher from Cuesta College. Roger printed the canvas with an experimental image transfer and the canvas made its way to classmate Bill Neufeld. After the semester closed, neither Bill nor the canvas would be seen for some 29 months. This may not have been the most auspicious augury for the Movement, but 23 works of art and 68 artists later, the work reappeared, just in time for this exhibit. The work returned to Pacha with help of Stephen Olsen and was declared finished on September 7, 2008.
